5 Reasons Why I Absolutely Do Not Want A Push Present

There may be plenty of things about motherhood that I’m still unsure of, but I do know this: I don’t want a push present. Nope. No, thank you.

Since reaching this conclusion, I’ve quickly found that The Push Present can be a touchy subject, riddled with assumptions. One also-pregnant acquaintance straight-up asked me, “What’s Anthony getting you? Did you drop hints or are you allowing him to surprise you?”…

Abbey Cleland writes fiction, TV, film, and essays. Her work’s appeared on Lifetime, Hallmark Movie Channel, and PixL networks, while she continues to write, develop, and consult for other production companies and studios. One of her romantic comedies is currently in pre-production, with plans for a theatrical release. In 2014, she completed an MFA in Fiction. Her master’s thesis, an upmarket women’s comedic novel, is being considered for publication.
