One of the first things you’ll think about when you become pregnant? Cool ways to announce your pregnancy to your friends and loved ones. After you tell your partner, the next people you’ll probably tell are your parents. When we announced our second pregnancy, my parents were excited. They were equally excited about our second and my brother’s three. No matter how many new babies we welcomed into the family, my parents still found themselves anticipating the arrival. And, because they’re awesome parents, the pregnancy announcement was the kick-off to lots of planning.
When would my mom fly so she could help me out a few days before the due date? Wait until the baby was born, then arrive and stay for a couple of weeks? There were lots of discussions about new cribs, hand-me-down clothes, and taking my old stuffed animals out of storage. I swear, kids these days don’t know nearly enough about Jem, She-ra, or Rainbow Brite. Don’t even get me started on their full-on ignorance of The Snorks. But, each of those fun, nostalgic talks with my parents started with a pregnancy announcement.
Just got a BFP? Time to start thinking about how you’re going to drop the life-changing news on your parents! Get inspired by these fun ways to announce your pregnancy.
