In between teaching drama, creative writing, and English to high school students for over ten years, Kim Culbertson has written short fiction for Cicada and her first young adult novel Songs for a Teenage Nomad (Sourcebooks). Sourcebooks will publish her second young adult novel Instructions for a Broken Heart in May of 2011.
