Delicious Keto-Friendly Chocolate Cake Recipe

Don’t let your Keto diet come in the way of your love for chocolate cakes. There’s no denying that chocolate cakes are one of the best indulgences. However, this does not mean you must let go of your keto diet for the cake. You can try this recipe to make a delicious keto-friendly chocolate cake. This cake is fluffy, moist, loaded with frosting, and has only 3 grams of net carbs in each slice of cake.

Made with sugar substitute and low-carb flour, this cake barely requires any preparation and is ready in about 30 minutes. In 30 minutes, this keto chocolate cake will be ready to satisfy your cravings. You can save the leftover cake in the refrigerator, covered, for up to 2 weeks or freeze it in a freezer-friendly container for up to 6 months.

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ cups almond flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup allulose, granulated
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup butter, softened
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups keto frosting

Preparation

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit to make this keto-friendly chocolate cake.
  2. Grease two 9-inch cake pans and lay a circular layer of parchment paper at the bottom for easy removal.
  3. Add eggs and softened butter to a large mixing bowl and whisk until combined and smooth.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  5. Add the almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and allulose a little bit at a time and mix until combined. Refrain from over-mixing the batter.
  6. Transfer the cake batter to the two cake pans. Bake the cake for 27-30 minutes or until a skewer/toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let the cake cool completely in the pan before removing it. Once cool, add your frosting and enjoy.

Voila, your keto-friendly chocolate cake is ready! You can skip the frosting and top it with your favorite berries if you like. Don’t overbake the cake since the cake cooks even while cooling down due to the steam trapped inside. So, check the cake at about 25-27 minutes. Don’t bake it beyond 30 minutes.

If the flour and cocoa powder have lumps, sift them before adding them to the batter. If you have salted butter, you can still use it, but don’t add more salt to the cake batter. You can even bake the keto-friendly chocolate cake in a big pan or pour it into muffin or cupcake molds. However, don’t forget to reduce the baking time to 18-20 minutes.
