The weather is doing a teeter-totter between Winter and Spring. One day, we have short sleeve and flip flop weather, the next we are back to bundling up in our coats, left to wonder where the warmer days have disappeared to.
When winter seems to drag on and I need a little touch of sun in my day, I turn to the fruits that remind me of the warmer months. Strawberry and Kiwi, two of my favorite fruits, combine together to make a smoothie that is sure to make you feel like the sun is beating down on you. Start your day off with a Strawberry Kiwi Smoothie for breakfast or take an afternoon break and enjoy a smoothie as a pick me up to your day. Either way, this recipe is sure to help you see the light at the end of the long winter tunnel!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Strawberry Yogurt (or your preferred flavor)
- 6 strawberries, sliced
- 1 kiwi, peeled
- 1 Tablespoon Agave Nectar or Honey
- 1 cup ice
Preparation:
Place all ingredients in a blender and process on high until smooth. Makes one large or two small fruit smoothies.
