Ice blocks are always a hit in my family. If I have a little leftover smoothie, I’ll find a mould or two and fill it up rather than pouring it down the sink. I also love making a huge batch of our favourite ice blocks and getting the kids in the kitchen to help me with it.
If you don’t have moulds, it’s simple enough to make ice blocks in small plastic cups or clean yoghurt containers. Just poke a pop stick into them once they are part-frozen.
My kids love making ice blocks, blending the fruit and carefully measuring the liquid into the moulds. It keeps them busy and, boy, is the end result great. The kids eat the whole thing!
