When I was a kid I put stickers that boldly stated “property of Sharon” on everything. My parents bought them for me when I was having trouble dealing with the arrival of my brother. I’m sure some would argue with that strategy, but it worked for me. It helped me cope and gave me some control in a situation that I was having trouble dealing with.
