Hi everyone! Maddy from Splendid Supply Co. here, recapping my favorites from the National Stationery Show (NSS). I've divided my posts into four categories: Moms; Babies and Kids; Parties; and Home. See entire coverage of NSS on Momtastic here!
Today, I'm recapping picks for Babies and Kids.
When most people think of the NSS, they think of wedding invitations and greeting cards, but they actually have a great selection of stuff for kids.

Wooden Animal Toy Puzzles from TOPS Malibu
As a big proponent of creative play, I love these little toys from TOPS Malibu. They start out as a fun puzzle that can be painted and customized, then played with until your child's heart is content. I think they make a great favor and party activity for older kids in particular!

Animal Coin Purses from Japanese Gift Market
I'm not going to lie: the preteen in me freaked out a little bit when I saw these kawaii (Japanese for "cute," and used to describe this type of illustration style) coin purses from Japanese Gift Market. I thought my daughter would go nuts for these, and that she did! Aurora immediately started squealing with delight, particularly for the different cats. Given that she's a girly girl who loves accessories, the fact that these are little purses would probably only make them more awesome in her eyes.

Puzzles and Push Toys from Petit Collage
I've been a huge fan of the modern, whimsical illustration style of Petit Collage for quite some time. Aurora has one of their adorable bamboo mobiles in her room, but I didn't know they had expanded into toys until I was doing my preliminary research for the show. I absolutely love their new toys, particularly their puzzles and their push toys, which make great use of their signature illustrations. In a field that tends to go more cutesy, they're great gift options for parents with more contemporary tastes.

Baby Spoons and Utensils from Beehive Handmade
How adorable are these lead-free pewter spoons and utensils for babies from Beehive Handmade? I think they'd make darling baby gifts for new parents. The designs are so sweet and timeless, so they'd be great heirloom presents for a family to pass down.

Laser Cut Travel Tic Tac Toe Set and Puzzles from MakeATX
MakeATX was probably my favorite discovery of the entire show. I'd never come across their work before, but I am so incredibly glad I did! Their fun puzzles and colorful tic tac toe sets are sure to capture the hearts of you and your kids. It was certainly love at first sight for me!

Handmade Stuffed Animals from Finkelstein's Center
Finkelstein's Center was another delightful discovery courtesy of the NSS. Their whimsical handmade stuffed animals stole my heart. I love the illustration style of the collection, and each animal is full of character. I was so charmed by all of these stuffed animals that I'm definitely using them as a go-to baby gift source in the future.

Honeycomb Animal Cards by Ginko Papers
While these aren't exactly toys per se, the second I saw these adorable honeycomb animal cards from Ginko Papers I thought of my own childhood. In my family, it's tradition to buy birthday cards for the children of the family that can also provide amusement. I'd never thought about carrying on the tradition until I saw these adorable miniature animal honeycomb cards because, frankly, if I see another singing cat card ever again I may scream. Ginko Papers' cards made me feel like it could be my take on that tradition---bringing delight to the kids and parents at the same time (with no annoyance, either!).
