Bored with your denim game? Learn how to pinroll jeans for a fresh twist. The look became popular in the 1950s, and it’s as fly as ever. You can pull it off with a variety of different jeans and shoes (from high tops to heels). But here’s the thing: You need to do the pinrolling the right way for it to look cool. Ready to try it? Here’s how to pinroll jeans, step-by-step, in less than 60 seconds.
Step 1: Start with your jeans unrolled. Pull the inseam taut with one hand.
Step 2: Pinch the jeans at the bottom of the inseam, taking care to keep pulling the jeans tightly inward. Fold the inseam over itself towards the back of your leg.
Step 3: While still pinching the inseam, roll the jeans up once. After rolling, don’t let go of the inseam.
Step 4: Roll the jeans up one more time, taking care to still pinch that inseam. This will give the roll a nice and tight look that will stay for hours.
Step 5: Adjust the roll as needed so that it is even all the way around your leg.
Step 6: Repeat on the other leg!
And that’s it! You can pull off this look with a variety of jeans, but be sure the area that you’re rolling is a bit loose. Pants that are skin-tight will be too tricky to roll!
