Forget helmet head: the “scarf” that turns into a helmet when needed
Hovding is a new type of bike helmet that works sort of like an airbag for your head. You wear it like a scarf, and when it senses you are in a crash it will deploy and safely expand around your noggin to keep you safe. It sounds crazy, but I know that I would welcome wearing a small neck scarf over a big helmet any day. Sadly, for now it looks like they are only available in Europe.
